I donated a kidney in 1999 and feel fine. My GFR has always ran around 48-52%–is there any need to worry? I am in good health, otherwise and the other numbers are OK.

The numbers that you quote would be within the expected range for an estimated glomerular filtration rate (eGFR) for a single kidney. You should also have your urine tested for protein.
