My son is 16 years old and has CP… Verbal but is in a power wheelchair. Has had red blood in his urine for the last two weeks. He has condom catheter so I see the color change and measure output daily. He has no pain, fever, or infection . Ultra sound showed no stones. Dr. Did a test and saw protine was present. She is waiting for a urologist to see him. Tells me nothing to worry about in the meantime continue to send him to school etc. Should I be more concerned! Or just wait it out?

I would agree that this is likely a urological problem and your son should be evaluated by a urologist.  Blood in the urine will also produce protein in the urine, so the protein in the urine is not likely coming from the kidney but rather from where the bleeding is originating.
