what brand of deodorant do you recommend if slight kidney function?

There is no problem with any brand of deodorant in patients with chronic kidney disease (CKD).  There has been a rumor circulating that deodorants with aluminum should be avoided in patients with CKD, however, this just means that you should not eat the deodorant.  Ingesting aluminum by patients with CKD can lead to aluminum toxicity.  Putting the deodorant on your skin does not result in any absorption of the aluminum into your blood and all are safe for patients with CKD.
