I am scheduled for a colonoscopy next week. My gastroenterologist wants me to use a prep called MOVI. He knows I have stage 3 CKD, but I am scared that I might do more damage to my kidneys. What is your opinion of this prep? I have a history of colon polyps, and it’s been 5 years since my last colonoscopy, and several were removed at that time (one was the pre-cancerous kind). I am currently on Losartan (25 mg). My GP doesn’t want to refer me to a kidney specialist yet.

The MOVI prep that I am familiar with is a combination of Polyethylene Glycol (PEG) with electrolytes and is safe for patients with kidney disease.  If this is the same preparation, then this prep should be safe for you.
