My daughter, now 14, had HUS at age 3. She was on kidney dialysis for over 30 days. Fortunately, her kidneys came back. She now has Stage 2 CKD. Where can I find more research information on children like her? I want to better understand the percentages of people who end up with kidney failure again, due to kidney damage from HUS. Thank you for any guidance you can provide.

The best web site to look for information about Hemolytic Uremic Syndrome (HUS) in children is the National Institutes of Health web site at:  https://www.niddk.nih.gov/health-information/health-topics/kidney-disease/hemolytic-uremic-syndrome-in-children-hus/Pages/facts.aspx

This is a comprehensive review of HUS in children with many links to other web sites for review of the illness.
