Last year they found a complex renal cyst size 3.4cm. Had CT scan and they said it was okay. Now ultrasound shows it has grown to 4.2cm. Going for CT scan next week. What am I facing? What is the likelihood I have to have surgery?

The problem that you describe is a urological problem.  Urologists make decisions about when to perform surgery on a cyst in the kidney.  If this is a simple cyst, then no surgery should be anticipated.  If this is a more complex or indeterminate cyst, then the decision for surgery is more complicated.  I am a nephrologist.  I suggest that you consult with a urologist.
