My wife has a condition that her own antibodies are attacking her body she is on dialysis and receiving treatment to remove the bad antibodies aphesis and had first round of a medication called Cytoxan to suppress her immune system. I am scared and fearful she will not survive. Asking for information and supportive services thank you. We reside in New Mexico

I am unable to make a specific diagnosis based on the information that you provide.  There are a number of diseases of the kidney that are treated with apheresis and Cytoxan (cyclophosphamide).  I suggest that you discuss your concerns with the physicians who are caring for your wife.  They are the best to discuss the prognosis and risks of treatments.  The team taking care of your wife are the best to assess her status and prognosis.  If you are given a specific diagnosis, then treatment and prognosis can be better evaluated.
