Can a person with GFR of 28 have a cardiac cath & stents placed? I am concerned about the dye that is used during this procedure.

The dye that is used in cardiac catheterization and stent placement can be toxic to the kidneys. I suggest that you consult with your nephrologist and your cardiologist about the risk of the dye and if treatment can be given to decrease the risk.
