Dr. Spry, how do you interpret this part of a PET scan for a CKD patient: ABDOMINOPELVIC NODES: Unchanged size of left para-aortic retroperitoneal soft tissue with central hypoattenuation measuring 3.2 x 2.4 cm with only faint peripheral FDG uptake.

I cannot interpret a Positron Emission Tomogram (PET) scan without knowing your history and examining the scan for myself.  I suggest that you ask your physician for clarification and he or she may need to consult with the radiologist who interpreted the scan. I cannot interpret the scan based on the information that you present.
