My husband has stage 4 ckd – his doctor routinely asks if he has pain in his abdominal area. At this point he does. What would this indicate? His next appointment is months away and the reason for this question/symptom was not explained. Of course, we’ll ask next time, but I was hoping for an answer sooner vs later.

I am unable to provide a specific diagnosis based on the information that you provide.  There are innumerable causes of abdominal pain.  Perhaps this is a routine question that is asked by his physician with each visit. Chronic kidney disease (CKD) commonly has no symptoms and abdominal pain would not be a common symptom of CKD.  If the pain persists, your husband may need to contact his physician.
