I am suffering from kidney disease. My age is 74 years. The creatinine is 1.64, BP at 140/80 with BP medicines. I want to know about lowering creatinine. Would you kindly suggest me sir?

There are no treatments that are specific for lowering the serum creatinine.  Treatments are aimed at preventing the decrease in kidney function and further elevation of the serum creatinine.  Hence, you should follow your doctor’s advice, control your blood pressure, eat a healthy low salt diet, maintain a healthy body weight, and exercise at least 150 minutes per week.  By following your doctor’s advice and leading a healthy lifestyle, you are doing all the things you can to prevent further damage to your kidneys.
