My father recently started going on dialysis. Today is his 3rd session. Is it normal for patients who just recently started going on dialysis to feel really weak to the point that he can not even walk? I’m very concerned.

Hemodialysis can be very difficult in the elderly.  It is not normal to be profoundly weak and unable to walk after dialysis.  There may need to be some adjustments made in the dialysis prescription.  I suggest that you consult with your father’s nephrologist and bring your concerns to him or her.
