My Father report shows “Right kidney shows 2-3 small subcentimeter cortical cysts. Left kidney shows a cortical cyst 1.8 cm in size in the lower pole”. Please let me know is it serious? What could be the possible treatment? His age is 65 and he is diabetic and blood pressure.

Cysts of the kidney are almost always benign.  About 4 out of 10 people will develop simple cysts of the kidney as they age.  I would make sure that the radiologist has determined these cysts to be simple cysts (as opposed to complex cysts).  If these are simple cysts, then nothing further needs to be done.  The diagnosis would be acquired simple cystic disease of the kidney and no treatment is required.
