Hello Doctor, A year ago I had been diagnosed with mild high blood pressure. After sometime, I experienced extreme fatigue and tiredness and even when I wake up in the morning followed by upper back pain and yellowish urine color and later painful in discharging as well as several night run to the wash room and poor sleep. I did several blood tests and my creatinine was 61, urea 2.1. My doctor sent me for ultrasound renal and CT test and it was normal. My doctor insisted my kidneys are working well.
I am unable to make a specific diagnosis based on the information that you provide. I do not identify any kidney disease based on the information that you present. I suggest further consultation with your physician.
The information about kidney function tests that you provide suggests normal kidney function. I suggest that you also have urine testing for blood, protein and infection.
My wife age 30 is proteinuria patient (diagnosed MPG) and did Deltacortril therapy but no result. The doctor suggested Rituximab injection.

I believe it is a scam. I have no information that Chinese Osmotherapy is of any benefit to kidney disease.

I read that “creatinine clearance” is another good indicator of kidney function. I am 57 years old. Weight is 307 pounds. Creatinine level is 1.63. Can you tell me my creatinine clearance and what it indicates to me?
The creatinine clearance is another way to estimate kidney function. It is based on the clearance of a metabolite of muscle called the creatine, that is then converted into creatinine and eliminated by the kidneys. This can be done by … Continue reading →
Hello Dr., I have CKD, my egfr is about 51-59 and my creatinine is about 1.11. I want to take magnesium, as when I do, it makes me feel good. What type and dosage should I take? Should I take it in combination with calcium and D3?

Hi, Every day early morning, I drink 3 liters of water to get my Bowl Movement. Could you please let me know, Am I increasing burden on my Kidneys? Kidneys find difficulties to consume 3 liters of water?
Drinking extra water does not burden the kidneys. They will handle the extra load of water just fine.
My husband has creatinine 2.3, 1 kidney, also high pressure under control 140/80. He is taking 7 pills a day to lower hypertension. He will have an aorta operation replacement with a 15cm long, at the end of the month. He also has hidden blood on urine in today laboratory test. There are no diets that lower the serum creatinine and improve kidney function. There are diets that can slow the deterioration in kidney function. I am a strong advocate for the DASH diet. You can review the DASH diet at: … Continue reading →
