My doctor just prescribed trimethoprim 100mg for 3 months with follow up in 9 months. The reason why I went to doctor, blood in urine, fever (high many times) lower back pain. I am a non smoker & non drinker – 48 years old – female – diabetes & high blood pressure. Kidneys MRI t1 hyperintense t2 hypointense no definite enhancement is seen – most consistent with a complex hemorrhagic cyst 8mm to 9mm mid kidney well circumcised mass in the left mid kidney suggesting small hemorrhagic lesion. CT 1.1cm hyper-dense focus at mid left kidney with mild enhancement. Liver MRI mild signal loss in the liver consistent with fatty infiltration and mild sparing in the medial segment of the left lobe.

I am unable to make a specific diagnosis based on the information that you present.  The studies that you mention suggest a problem in your left kidney, but I cannot make a definitive diagnosis.  I suggest that you consult with your physician and ask for further studies or a referral to a urologist to evaluate your left kidney. You need to discuss your concerns with your physician.
