My GFR is 28. Down from last month; which was 35. My protein levels are good at 6.6. Should I be concerned?

The falling value for the estimated glomerular filtration rate (eGFR) is of concern and should be repeated. An eGFR of less than 30 is consistent with Stage 4 chronic kidney disease (CKD). I suggest that you discuss this with your physician and ask for a specific diagnosis as to the cause of your CKD. I would also recommend that you have urine testing for blood, protein and infection in order to complete your testing for CKD.
