Dr. I am 66 years old with diabetes. I was told I am in Stage three of KD. But I really don’t know what that stage really means but the doctor keeps telling me that stage three is on the cust side of needing to be put on dialysis but for how long before this happens and what are the factors involved? My spouse has ESRD – has been on dialysis since February. His microalbumin/creatine level is off the charts at 14417.9 and his A1C is 11.2. He has medication controlled high blood pressure and is morbidly obese as well.
