My father had a kidney transplant 2 years ago. He is suffering from urine infection and BKV virus from long time. Yesterday creatinine report was 3.5 and hemoglobin was 6.5. He is also a path of diabetes and BP. Please help what to do? Why creatinine is increasing ?

I am transplant patient. It has been 6 months since my transplant. Now my serum creatinine had increased to 1.8. The doctor did a biopsy. The biopsy report BK virus positive but blood viral load below 100/ml. Now the doctor suggests to take Leflunomide for two weeks but still the creatinine the same. Please provide me with a consultation.
